DadBlogs

I updated my links because I realized that I actually had a reader. Mike, from Unraveling Life's Mysteries came by and commented on a few stories of mine.

Jump over and read his stuff and if you have a chance, take a look at the other Dad Blogs in my list. In fact, they all are except for Dooce, who I can only wish being as cool or as funny as. I think it's the different plumbing that I have as opposed to her. I think her plumbing makes her funnier.

Then again, that would mean that I would have to be funny, which I am not sure I am at all sometimes.

So what is it all about anyway? Why do we post, and give links and try to interest people in our stuff? At first I thought it was because I was just doing it for me!@ Yeah, right. I think each one of us is looking for readers and are gratified when someone does post a comment.

That being said, can people PLEASE comment on my stuff? All I've been getting is bots posting 'insurance' or 'poker' or other crap like that. Does anyone read this? Even if you just want to drop an "I DO", please do. I also take requests for posts ;) I'm trying to get better about posting stuff, and I truly do think that I am getting better. I'll try not to whine too much either. Too much.

  1. I DO.
Just kidding, and thanks for the shout out. You’ll have me around for awhile. I need to know what’s happening with the BoSox. Their a dangerous team who seem to turn it on at the end of the season. Your lineup scares me more than most teams.

Pulled out a squeaker last night against Baltimore. Had to score in the bottom of the ninth to do it.

Yeah, it’s a self gratifying thing when we blog. I know in my case its a therapy. If someone reads it and might get something out it, all the more.

Good luck, talk with you soon.

  2. You know what? If it’s just you and me talking on our blogs, what the hell :) Make me feel better at least one other human is reading it ;)

Yeah man, you did just get by last night. And we came so damn close too :( I’m sticking my fingers in my ears and yelling LALALALALALA and pointedly not looking at that article on MLB about David Ortiz’s wrist – http://cushingonline.com/?p=136 .

  3. Honey,
Don’t write your blog for other people. Use it as an outlet for yourself, to get your own feelings out. I know you want to connect to people, and that’s great, but it should be a byproduct of the blog, not the reason.

Think of your blog as your diary. Other people will ready it, and maybe comment on it, but it is for you, not for them.

    I love you.

  4. I read on occasion! :)

I don’t blog for other people but I do have to admit that I like knowing that others are stopping by occasionally.

  5. @Fae and @Carol

you’re both right. I don’t think I really do, but I do think it’s nice to have people acknowledge reading it.

  6. Hey Matt,

    I’m responding and I’m not a bot. How’s that?

I was wondering what you’ve done with the SSSH email page. I was thinking of recreating it on my site if you’re no longer doing it.

  7. Hey, I just found your blog, so I’ll gladly comment! I just started blogging recently, and I will admit that I get all giddy when someone comments. It really takes a lot of effort to get a good post going, and the comments are a little reward.

  8. @Fred – Haven’t in a long time, go for it.
@Raging Dad – thanks for stopping by. How did you fine me?
