Admit it…

Working out totally blows!!! Yeah yeah yeah, I know. I’m old. I’m out of shape.

Still, COME ON!

I went to the gym today and ran for 15 minutes – it was 2 min fast walk 3 min fast run intervals, but still, I DID IT! Ever get that burning feeling under your skin when you work out fairly hard and it’s your body’s way of saying “SLOW DOWN FUCKHEAD!!!”, you know what I mean?

Yeah, that started after about 10 minutes. Feh. This working out stuff officially sucks. I ran, did a bunch of set of 10 situps and pushups, lifted some weights, did a bunch of crunch related machines. All in all I think I stretched it out to around 40 minutes are so. I think I’m more frustrated now than I was sitting on my ass whining about not working out.

Am I glad I went? Yes (he says grudgingly). Am I going back on Friday? Yes. Okay, I might even sneak in there tomorrow before work. But don’t hold me to that.

  1. Or instead of meditating you workout. I take extented lunches and workout in the middle of the day. Helps me recharge my batteries.

    Best advice I can give is to stay with it. Eventually it becomes a habit and you NEED to work out. It keeps this late 40′s guy young ( or so I think)…

  2. At least you did it! Me? I haven’t exercised in months, and even if I post my numbers at my sistah blog weekly (blech), I still can’t muster the motivation.

    Today? I put on workout clothes – hoping maybe after I finish my conference calls and get my reports out, that I might actually wipe the dust off of my ellyptical machine.
