Deep, thought provoking post
Then again, maybe not. Yeah, I got nothin.
It's been a fairly busy as hell week trying to get some project work done, trying to pack up my cube and get ready to move into my new office (we're moving the whole office to a new building), keep myself sane, keep my brain from leaking out, and in between all that, try and be there for my family.
Why do we do it? This thing we call life? Why do we do our day to day stuff, dreaming of a better life, of more money, of more stuff? Why do we have kids and attempt to help them live a life that is better than our own?
Okay, maybe it is thought provoking today, I guess those M&M's I just ate woke up my noodle. Sometimes I have no f'ing clue. Other times it's so crystal clear that I'm amazed I don't see it this clearly. As I get older and my kids get more independent, I have more time to think and analyze what I do and why I do it. I can't even imagine being back at my old job, being a drone in a factory of idiocy. No I won't name the company, but suffice it to say that I am still, 2.5 years later, breaking the old ingrained habits of that place. UGH!
I think it all boils down to wanting to see what happens next. To see if the decisions you make and the choices you focus on work out or not. I'd like to be more 'thing'centric and concentrate on more of the things that matter - like making sure that my grandkids don't have to go to Mars because we've f'd up this planet so badly. I'd like to make sure that people hear me when I complain about my government and try to do something, even if it's only to cast my vote for someone who I think can make a difference.
Why do you live life everyday and do the things you do?

What does it say about me (or my life at the moment, anyway) that my attention snapped to the part in your post where you ate M&Ms?

A cube to an office, really? I’m jealous. Hope it has a window.
Sorry, I don’t do “deep” very well.
How about them Sox’s?

@angelbethy – don’t feel badly, I got up and got some after I wrote it
@Mike – yeah, finally
No window, but there’s a door that I can finally shut.
Think it’s gonna be me vs you in the first round. I have a feeling that Tito’s going to opt for health vs making a run for first place. If we got first place, then we’d play White Sox. But I think we’re gonna be out your way, and you have home field.

Ugh. You just reminded me of when I used to work in the field.
I don’t think I can go back. I’ll tell you what:
There are NO boring days in the hotel industry, and you see ALL kinds of people, from all walks of life.
Um… no thanks! lol – and good luck on the move!
