My husband is totally like that, too, even though he is very social. It’s almost like it’s become part of a tradition; his saying, “Do I have to go?” or “I’m not feeling so good. Why don’t you go without me?” It’s just silly. At least there’s alcohol at most of these gatherings; he survives okay

You and I are alike in that matter. I can go into a room and start a conversation or get involved with just about anyone. My wife always marvels at how I do this. She says I should be in sales. Since I'm losing my job I may need to start looking that way. But I think it the effort we need to put into this is why we don't look forward to them. We love it once we get into the party mood, its just the effort to get into the mood. At least for me... Mikes last blog post..No More Dance Camp…
