I had a good day today
Isn't that a line from a movie? Dunno which, and it really doesn't matter.
I worked out for the 4th day this week, good lord what's wrong with me? Oh yeah, I'm about to turn 40. More about that later. Felt my chest tightening up, making it difficult to breathe, so I jumped off the treadmill and got on the bike until my boss finished up his mile. Then we did the medicine ball workout again, and I used a lighter ball. All in all not a very satisfying workout, but I did go down nonetheless which was kind of an accomplishment in and of itself. I think the key for me is having someone to workout with, because I would never get off my ass and do it myself. Feeling okay right now, maybe a bit dehydrated, but I'm not going to go crazy pounding water when I have to go to sleep soon
Got a presentation written for a meeting at the end of the month. "You know what? You're the first non-upper management person to present at this meeting. Good luck" my boss said to me as I handed him a rough first draft. No, no pressure there at all. I'm designing a new portal to hopefully streamline our processes but mostly so we can dump the old piece of absolute crap portal we have now. It's a spider web, no, spiderwebs make sense and are usually patterned. This is just a hot mess.
Got a bunch of jobs written to pull data from some tables that an other application writes to. This will (hopefully) allow the people in charge of the money to get automated reports instead of having to enter stuff in two different places.
Figured out what is causing the print button in SQL Server Reporting Services to disappear. It turns out it's an Active X related PATCH!!! released by Microsnot. Fuckers!!! If this rings a bell, ping me and I'll give you the patch number to uninstall.
I also worked on a bunch of other little odds and ends that needed to be finished up. Hoping to go in tomorrow and either work on the new portal or maybe some reporting that should have been done about 2 years ago
That's about all I can write because my arms are tired as hell right now.
Gnight Internet.
