WordPress Upgrade to 2.7.1

I've been using WPAU(wordpress automatic upgrade) for a while now and I have to say it's awesome. Never had an issue. So when I saw the new version flag up top in my dashboard, I hit it.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class pclzip

What? An error? WHY?!?!?

WordPress got smart and incorportated WPAU into their core functionality. If you go to your plugins, disable WPAU, and then go back and hit the upgrade button, it'll upgrade it for you.

It's good to see they're smart and incorp important functions!!

    This is all greek to me and the reason why when my self hosted blog blew up, I just eased on over to free wordpress.

    I’m thinking of quitting my job and running a technical support company based on regular bloggers both pulling them to their own hosts as well as teaching them the easy stuff :)

    I LOVE that plugin (use it all the time) and thanks for the heads up. It’s always worked well and I would have been pretty peeved if I hadn’t read this first

    I’m in huge debug mode at work because I’m moving a bunch of applications so I’m getting better at tagging errors. This one looked weird, googled it a bit, realized that the upgrade button looked familiar in 2.7, and made the connection. Glad I could pass it along.

    Yeah, I’ll be your first customer, LOL! :-) I still own my domain name. Pretty sure the blog is floating around in cyberspace somewhere too. I had a friend taking care of the technical stuff for me, but he got too busy to keep up with it.

    Where were you when I was suffering panic attacks at the loss of my blog? LOL!
