If they're still doing it, I think you're always going to get the excited-welcome home-greeting to some degree. You have good kids who love you. That is a gift.

The way your kids greet me when I come to visit is one of my favorite things about coming there. Two seconds after I arrive at your home, it feels like my entire life is okay because these two amazing kids express love for me unconditionally and enthusiastically. It isn't as cool as being a parent. But it feels like getting my own small sampling of that. And I love your kids so much, and love that they love me back.

By the way, the fact that they haven't stopped doing that is a real testament to the unconditional love they get from you and Fae. Children reflect the love they are given. And they are clearly given an abundance of it.
