Help? HELP!! YAY!
June 4th, 2009 mattdaddyI’ve been working for this company for almost 3.5 years now, and we quickly realized that I would need help. We’ve been trying to organize something, so when we hired our summer intern, I was looking forward to not only getting some help, but also to get the chance to try on my manager suit and see how I would do.
Honestly, I think I’m doing pretty well. I’ve been giving him a general course on MyCompany 101 as far as what the industry does, and how we operate as well as teaching him updated programming techniques, sql programming, and some other things thrown in for flavor. It was nice today because he took on some project work and for the first time in a long time, I got to do some planning and work on some other stuff that kept getting put to the side.
Here’s to getting some help and hopefully leading to a really productive summer. Sorry I’ve been so quiet lately, getting ready for him to start and been training him all week. Should be an even more productive next week!
