ATWT:Hamsterballs for everyone

(I know it's a day late Jen, but I couldn't resist)

Towards the end of August, my brother & sister took all of the cousins up to a Lake in PA called Otter Lake.  I had to work, but I went up on Sunday and stayed over.  Beautiful place, thinking of going back next year.  I left around 5:30am on Monday and went to work and then went and got the kids on Wednesday night.

One of the things they did was this hamster ball thing on the lake.  Looks like a whole lot of fun.

Aidan, having a Ball. Get it??

She's about to do a serious faceplant, but they didn't get it on film.

Aidan's goin in for the kiss

November 1999, Aidan's goin in for a kissy on his new little sister.  I was going to post something about starting out my html experience on Geocities only to find they're in the process of closing it down.  So I downloaded it all to my computer and then saw Jen's post, and realized this would be perfect.

ATWT: Gillian in the pool

Nice weekend spent mostly in various pools - ours and my parents.  I liked this shot the best.  That's my girl!

ATWT

It seems that whenever you ask him to smile, he looks a little sick.  Caught him before he could 'try' to smile in this shot.  Funny thing is, when he smiles for real and not being posed, it lights up his face. :)

ATWT – Aidan’s turn

Cheaper Than Therapy

My son pointed out that the two weeks I did this, both were of my daughter.  So now, it's his turn.

This is Aidan on a trip we made to Cooperstown NY to the Baseball Hall of Fame.  I went last year with my best friend and our sons (both 11) were pissed at us that we didn't take them, so this year we decided to bring the boys.  REALLY glad we did, we're going to make it a yearly tradition.

So Aidan, here you go.

ATWT – A thousand words thursday

Jen over at Cheaper than Therapy does this every week and I am enjoying joining in.
Cheaper Than Therapy

This is a picture of Gillian, my nine year old. Keep in mind, my wife is 4'11", and I believe that Gilli is going to take after her. Me? I'm 6'2" and I don't think either of my kids will be as big.

The funny thing about this pic is that Gillian used to say "I don't know how to read" when we would read to her and ask her to try. "You read it Daddy!" was her favorite come back. Now, she's a voracious reader who in most cases will rather pick up a book than watch cartoons - SEE! I KNEW I DID SOMETHING RIGHT!! :)

Gilli and her book

the funny thing is, now that she reads by herself all the time, we always read a chapter of May Bird before bed.  My son got jealous so I'm reading to him too.  They like it, and I get a kick out of it too.

What happens when you roll your car three times

May 31, 2007

Somehow, I walked away from this.  A 26' delivery truck hit me, spun the car around 180 degrees, and flipped me sideways three times.  Yet for all that, I had a pulled muscle in my shoulder and glass in my hair.  I will never buy anything but a Honda ever again.  This is what is left of my 8 month old Honda Fit.

Thousand Words Thursday is the brainchild of Jen, at Cheaper Than Therapy. Head to her place for more great shots.
